Concert Series:
The Golden Thread
What makes music sound Jewish? A.Z. Idelsohn speaks of unique modes and motives running through music like a “golden thread” working to express the inner workings of the Jewish soul. The recital series explores Jewish music by highlighting its origins in the Near East and outlining the ancient elements that define Jewish sound. Join our ensemble of voice, oud, drums, flute, and violin for a lively program of Jewish folk songs, from Mizrahi, Sefardi, and Babylonian communities.
